About Luckiest Mama

I am Sierra, a Native American, the mother of two rambunctious little boys, wife to one hard-working husband, friend to many, and the creator, designer, and owner of the small business, Luckiest Mama, based in Anchorage, Alaska.

In the fall of 2021, I bought my first beads and string at Joann Fabrics. In all honesty, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I saw a pair of earrings online that I figured, “I can probably make those.” Well, that is what started this business. I am a self-taught bead weaver.

This new passion has done wonders for me. Many find beading to be difficult and too tedious. I don’t find that to be the case. I find beading to be calming, relaxing, & ultimately enjoying.

Beading has helped me connect more with my biological father’s family, ones he didn’t get to know or be raised around. As I found beading, I was informed by his sister that all of the women in that branch of family bead in some form!

I hope that you find something you love!
